Privacy

The file you upload is used only to repair it. It is stored on our own server in our lab, is not shared with third parties and is not used for any other purpose.

We keep the uploaded file, the repaired file and the preview for 3 days, then delete them. You can delete them earlier yourself. We keep no backup copies.

An image sent with remote imaging is kept in our lab until your job is finished. It is deleted when the job is finished or when you ask.

The repair is automatic: nobody watches your file. Only if you click "Ask our expert", an engineer of our lab looks at that one file, and it is kept for 7 days.

If you give a working sample video and the repair succeeds, we keep only its recording settings (codec settings and file layout). We do not keep its picture, its sound or its name. These settings help us repair other videos from the same kind of camera.

A sample video you give is kept in our lab's library as a reference, to repair other videos from the same camera. Only the part the repair needs is sent, not the whole video. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

If you give a video on the "Earn credit" page, it is kept in the library with your consent, and your e-mail address is kept with your credit. You can ask us to delete both at any time.

The contact detail you give is used only to reach you about this file.

We use no tracking or advertising tools. To keep the daily upload limit fair, we use one security cookie (a random number) and a short summary of your browser (a SHA-256 code made from its type, language, screen and graphics; the properties themselves are not stored). If you confirm your e-mail address to go on over the limit, it is counted too. These are deleted together with your files. Your browser also keeps your language and the list of your recent uploads; this stays on your device.
