DJI drone and Osmo video broken or will not open
Short answer: if the drone crashes, the battery dies or the card comes out, the last video will not open. We repair DJI videos.
Why?
- In a crash or power cut the recording is left unfinished.
- A card that leaves its slot cannot write the last seconds.
Do this now
- Take the card out; do not switch the drone or camera on again.
- Copy the MP4 and the LRF file of the same name and keep them.
- If you use an SD card, set its write protection (WP) switch and keep it.
Do not
- Do not format the card in the drone.
- Do not record a new flight on the same card.
- If the camera offers a repair when the card goes back in, say no; the broken file can be deleted. Copy the card first.
Questions
Do deleted DJI videos come back? If nothing new was recorded on the card, mostly yes; bring the card to our lab.
Does the flight data come back? If it is written inside the video, yes; data in separate files (DAT, TXT) is not part of this repair.
