The video of a day that cannot be filmed again does not open or is missing from the card.
Do this now
- Take the card out of the camera and do not record on it.
- If you use an SD card, set its write protection (WP) switch and keep it.
- If the camera offers a repair when the card goes back in, say no; the broken file can be deleted. Copy the card first.
- Do not format the card.
Then
- If the file is there, upload the original to our site.
- If the card cannot be read, bring it to our lab.
- Keep a working video from the same camera. We may ask for it.
Good to know
- Not every video can come back; parts that were written over or never recorded do not return.
