repairMOV file will not open
A MOV video you shot with an iPhone, a photo camera or a camcorder does not open.
Why does it happen?
- The device switched off or the storage filled up while recording.
- A copy stopped half way.
- Some computers cannot open iPhone videos (HEVC); the file may not be damaged.
What to do
- If you use an SD card, set its write protection (WP) switch and keep it.
- If the camera offers a repair when the card goes back in, say no; the broken file can be deleted. Copy the card first.
- Do not try other repair programs on the original file.
- Upload the original MOV file to our site. We check whether it is damaged.
- If the file is fine but your player cannot open it, click "Make a compatible copy".
